Lincoln-Way Patriots 19, Kankakee Plowman 14

On a hot afternoon in Kankakee, the Lincoln-Way Patriot Football Team was trailing the Kankakee Plowmen by 14 points at half-time.

The first half belonged to the Plowmen as the Patriot offense was kept at bay and the Patriot defense was pushed around by the Plowmen.

FIRST TIME'S A CHARM!

FRANKFORT -- Initial games don't often go very well for first-year football teams but that wasn't the case with the Lincoln-Way Patriots semi-pro squad on Saturday night.

Playing in their debut against the Joliet Buccaneers, the Patriots used a strong fourth quarter to claim a 34-14 Mid-States Football League win at Lincoln-Way East.

Despite having many more scoring opportunities, Lincoln-Way (1-0) only held a 15-7 advantage over Joliet (0-1) heading into the final quarter.
